While giving the commencement speech at Brown University on Sunday, Hollywood actor Robert De Niro took the opportunity to bash both Donald Trump and the U.S. as a whole. It didn’t take long for this to come back to bite him in a big way…

Fox News reported that De Niro whined that in movie terms, the U.S. was once an inspiring uplifting drama” but has now turned into “a tragic dumb–s comedy.” One day before giving the speech, De Niro spoke out about the “nightmarish” political climate of today and called President Trump an “idiot.”

Unfortunately for De Niro, Twitter users made it clear that they don’t care about what he thinks.
